“Thanks to the patience and professionalism of Bottle and Bottega Evanston's owner, Nikki, I was able to effortlessly coordinate a private party for 20 people from 1,000 miles away. Nikki asked smart questions, made solid recommendations, and ran a smooth and fun event for us on-site. Our artist instructor, Esther, was fantastic! Thanks to Esther's patience and enthusiasm, our entire group walked away with great looking pieces of art. Thank you for providing such a warm and comfortable environment for our diverse group to come together and celebrate a birthday. Looking forward to many future events in your studio.”

“I can't say enough good things about this place. I was toying with various events for my daughter's 13th birthday, and contacted B&B about a private party. From the initial contact (Jen and later the owner Nikki), everyone was friendly and super helpful. It truly made for stress-free event planning. We hosted 12 of her friends, with food we brought in before so the girls could eat and mingle. I brought decorations and paper goods, although they do supply paper plates, cups (or wine glasses for the adult events!) and utensils if you need. Since it was her event, my daughter got to pick the image they would paint. They also played the playlist of her favorite music! Everyone had a blast! Our instructor, Patricia, walked the girls through and made sure everyone finished in the time allotted. We had 30 minutes for cake, pictures, and presents afterward, and everyone was raving about it. The girls didn't want to leave! My daughter said this was her best birthday ever, so I'd say it was a hit!”

“I had a LOT of fun here! I have been wanting to do a painting class for years but was never able to until now and I am glad that I came here for my first try. (See my masterpiece in my profile photos lol). First off, the staff was very friendly. When I walked in, a woman named Lynette greeted me with a smile and an invitation to get cozy. I had come during a night where it was couples and friends and so I was alone. I did feel a little awkward at first but because she was so welcoming, it helped me to relax me so I could have a good time. She showed me the bathrooms, where I was going to sit to paint, and gave me a mini tour of the place. Once class started, Lynette invited everyone in the class to introduce themselves to their neighbors since we were going to be painting together for the next 2 hours and I REALLY DEEPLY appreciated that. I'm new to Evanston and so I am looking for friendship & interaction and so the fact that she ENCOURAGED us to interact, meant a LOT to me. :) It helped each of us to then really have fun and the rest of the night was made ALL the better for it. My suggestion to you (the reader) is go to this place. Go alone or bring friends, either way, you are going to have fun. To all my people out there who tend to have to do things alone - this is one of those places where you can REALLY go out and not feel isolated because Lynette does a great job of making you feel connected. So get out from behind your computer, tap into your creativity and make some friends here. You won't regret it. :) I definitely plan to return!”

“Bottle & Bottega is a cool, fun little place. It is another one of the "drink & paint" kind of places, as yelp has called a paint and sip. The plus for this one is they let you BYOB and BYOF (food), so you're not going to go hungry from one of their sessions! I'd advise to make sure not to eat the carrots immediately after painting in orange, etc - paint is presumably not good food. They also have some cool plans for what to make but they embrace if your artistic inspiration says to make something else! My wife went and made a flower, and her friend made a mandala, all on the same night! This place clearly must have the right atmosphere to inspire people to come up with some good art. I credit the instructors as well. I can't say I was as proud of my own work, but it's still a very fun event and well organized. I've come here twice, I'd come here more in the future.”

“I was shockingly surprised at how well I painted. The owner Lynette couldn't have been more friendly and our artist took the time to work with each of us to be sure we had a basic idea of what we were doing. My wife might not love my art, but I proudly display it above our fireplace (when she doesn't move it). This is a great venue to have an event and I will also say that our group was mostly men. We were all surprised by how much fun we had and we also were able to unleash some inner artistic talent. If you have never tried then give it a whirl and just a side note, but there is a liquor store right across the street. Fill up, as it will make your art better.”

“Bottle and Bottega is officially one of my newest favorite gems in the Chicagoland area. It combines two of the loves of my life - drinking and making artwork. I don't know if I'm in line with their theory, but I think that drinking makes artwork turn out even more spectacularly than if you were not drinking. I'm just giving my honest opinion here. I came here for a Yelp Elite event where we tasted wine and food while painting either a piece of glassware or a 10×10 painting. Having wanted to do something similar to this for a long time I couldn't resist and thankfully I didn't because I'm sort of in love with Bottle and Bottega now. They have artwork hanging all throughout this little joint, presumably artwork that was painted by previous guests. All of the artwork that is hanging on the walls is outstanding and I enjoyed just walking through and admiring the paintings. How it works is that when you come in to Bottle and Bottega they have a pre-assigned picture that you are to resemble your painting after. When I was there for the event we had someone who worked there guide us through the painting. Me, being a deviant little thing, decided to diverge a little from the painting but only because I wanted the colors of the painting to match my apartment! Don't worry, though, if you aren't experienced at painting the staff will make you feel at home and help you through it...but remember it's all about free, creative expression! You don't have to be Vincent Van Goh to make something awesome! The joint in of itself is very cozy and bright with sort of a retro feel to it. It truly does cater to the artist inside each of us. Bottle and Bottega offers you the chance to do something different and fun instead of the same of dinner and a movie. With that being said it's awesome for a date night! When I was there I also found out that Bottle and Bottega will work with people for several different occassions. Apparently, if you're a business and want to find an event that could act as a team building exercise you can go here and have everyone take part in painting one cohesive mural. It's a different form of team building and could actually be super helpful in building communication and teamwork. I also found out that if you are having a Bachelorette party of something of the sort you can come in and paint a picture of a nude model. Yep, ypu heard me correctly. They sometimes have nude models come in and pose - tell me you aren't intrigued now. I know you are. I can't say that I'm sure of what the cost is for any of these events or even to paint a mural bit I must say that the enjoyment you will get out of it is well worth any cost.”

“You cannot walk away from this location without a smile! From the minute we walked in the staff was helpful and friendly. I was very nervous to paint, but what I thought were "screwups" were easily dealt with with help from the lead artist. Go for any occasion and you will have a blast!”

“What a FUN place for a girls' night out! I went to a public painting party with two girlfriends on Friday evening - we all had a fantastic time. Parties are BYOB, and we spent the first half hour or so relaxing in the lounge-y area enjoying our wine and appetizers. After the mingling half hour, we moved to the studio, where our artist was Esther. She was cheerful, fun, and great with questions from those of us who are not artists. She explained technique but also encouraged us to be creative. It was a fun activity and also allowed for conversation with my friends I came with. I would definitely recommend this for someone looking for a new twist on a night out!”

“Love, love, love Bottle & Bottega! I've been here twice now - once for a work holiday party and once with friends on a Friday night. For starters, the place is adorable! Such a cozy atmosphere. This location is BYOB and you can also bring snacks if you're hungry. As for the painting portion, the staff is very knowledgable and encouraging. They walk you through the process step-by-step and are there to help if you miss a step (which I definitely missed quite a few). I'm no Picasso so it was nice to be able to ask questions and get advice from the staff. If you're looking for a fun and laid back night out or if you're just feeling artsy, I'd definitely recommend checking out Bottle & Bottega!”

“Since we've been married for about 500 years, husband and I are always challenged to find new "date night" experiences. This was one of the best options we've had in recent years! Price-wise, it cost about the same as casual dinner and movie, but instead of just another "meh" meal eaten at a hurried pace and disappointing movie seen from between freakishly large mutant heads and of course having some oaf's feet shoved up my bum from the row behind, we spent a very pleasant evening drinking our own wine and making "art". I use quotes around the word art because what we ended up with was indicative of our lack of skill and degree of squiffiness (more squiffiness for me as I'd not eaten all day). Staff was great, Nikki (sp?) was charming, pleasant and engaging - she made us feel welcome and at ease. Our instructor (Monica? not sure) was quite skilled, had a fun personality, and was able to break down elements of the artwork so that we of little talent could follow. 6 PM we arrived, uncorked, were given glasses and an ice bucket for our wine; relaxed a bit in this visually wonderful and comfortable venue, toasted ourselves, then began class at 6:30. Everything was well organized, all materials provided, and simple instructions made the process of creating art a smooth success. Funky music helped keep all in a bouncy mood. Atmosphere was as relaxed as tippling and chatting at a friend's home; dress as you please, but the more comfy the better, IMHO; paint aprons are provided. Our group consisted of 2 date night couples and a trio of ladies out for girl's night; nice mix of ages and personalities (lucky on that account). Definitely will do this again, hoping to get better at this painting thing - but next time will eat beforehand so as to not be so toasty while wielding my brushes. As I understand it, they also offer family and kid-friendly sessions, which, if I had any young children, I'd be rushing to do. This is truly one of those activities that offers something for everyone. Go - just do it! It's a joyful experience.”

“A blast! I was extremely nervous beforehand, since I have no artistic ability but it was easy (the artist goes through it with you step by step). Would go again in a bigger group as well; very fun!”

“I can not say enough amazing things about this location. I have hosted a fundraiser here the last 3 years and honestly I can't think of anywhere else I would want to have it. Lynette has been so accommodating and wonderful every single year I have hosted it here. The staff has been fabulous and so helpful and knowledgable! I have attended public parties here as well and could not have been more pleased with everything every time.”
