Free Painting Party for Furloughed Government Employees
It’s been over a month since our government has been shutdown, effectively disrupting people’s lives and piece of mind. Bills are going unpaid and stress levels are hitting the roof. Unfortunately, we know all too well what it’s like to live paycheck to paycheck and what happens when you miss one, or two, or God forbid more than that.
As much as we’d like to be able to pay everyone’s bills, we just can’t. However, what we can do is offer a little stress relief. Last Monday we gave furloughed government employees a free paint party. We didn’t know if people would sign up or how things would turn out, but it was a lot of fun and our guests could not have been nicer. So, we’ve decided to do it again, and again, and again… until the government opens back up. Every Monday night from 6-8pm we’ll be offering a free paint party to any furloughed government employees and yes, you can bring a friend. You can sign up online at our website. Just bring your ID with you and your favorite beverage.
This Monday, January 28th, we’ll be holding our event from 1-3pm. Why, in the afternoon and not 6-8pm you may ask? Because our generous friends at Pop’s Popcorn and Twisted Q in Homewood heard about what we were doing and figured out a great way to make it better. So not only will you get a free paint session next Monday afternoon, but you’ll also get free lunch, compliments of the awesome folks at Twisted Q, and some delicious free popcorn from our awesome new friends at Pop’s Popcorn.
Sign up soon, space is limited to 30 spots.
