Meet Jamelle Garner
Hi! I’m Jamelle Garner and I’ve used my 20 years of public relations, marketing and journalism experience to create phenomenal events and engagements. I am also the author of numerous on-the-spot fictional bedtime narratives to which only my toddler and eight-year old are privy. I jump out of bed with a big smile on my face every morning (well, most mornings) because I get a rush out of creating ways to enhance, transform and add memorable value to an occasion — whether it’s community-oriented, media-related, public, private or corporate.
I am a native Texan, born in San Antonio. I graduated from Texas A&M with a B.S. in Journalism in 2001. While an undergraduate, I led the midday slot at Power 94.3 as the on-air host. I also interned at NPR and KTBX, a local television station. Throughout my long career as a broadcast/print journalist for the Army, I narrated more than 200 military performances and ceremonies around the globe and published more than 250 articles.
I confirmed my lifelong passion for learning with a Master of Science in Information Systems Management from the University of Phoenix in 2006 and The Command and General Staff College, Leavenworth, KS in 2015, and I will obtain a Master of Art in Journalism with a concentration in Public Relations of Kent State University in August 2016.
And I am absolutely ecstatic at the undertaking of my newest venture as a franchise owner of Bottle & Bottega San Antonio!
