Bottle & Bottega Finalizes Plans To Open Highland Park Location
Local Entrepreneur Chris Bonk to Help Highland Park Residents Uncork Their Inner Artist by Launching Innovative Art and Wine Concept
HIGHLAND PARK, Ill. – Get ready, Highland Park. Bottle & Bottega is about to paint the town red.
The nation’s premier art and wine studio recently announced an agreement to open a Bottle & Bottega location in Highland Park. Working with Chris Bonk, the brand’s first multi-unit operator who also owns a Bottle & Bottega in Arlington Heights, the area’s new paint and sip concept launches this July with “Pop Up” events and a chic and sophisticated studio to follow at 1894 N. Sheridan Rd. in early Autumn of 2017.
"After seeing how much fun people were having in my Arlington location I started thinking about what other communities might appreciate a Bottle & Bottega near them” said Bonk, who previously held creative roles in Chicago’s top advertising agencies. “Bottle & Bottega is widely known in the region and I’m happy our fans in Highland Park and the North Shore will now have access to a location in their neck of the woods.”
Bottle & Bottega paints a whole new picture of what is possible when friends, couples and colleagues get together for a night of fun. The Highland Park location will be Bottle & Bottega’s 26th in the United States, hosting events throughout the Northern Suburbs of Chicago including Deerfield, Northbrook and Winnetka.
Bringing out the creative side in all of us regardless of skill or practice, Bottle & Bottega is one part artistic adventure and one part cocktail party. Through a blend of hands-on art sessions, on-site professional instruction and, of course, a glass of wine, Bottle & Bottega helps guests create a masterpiece that they can be proud of taking home.
Currently Bonk is hosting public and private paint and wine events in homes, restaurants, offices, community venues and other locations throughout the North Shore. Once the studio is up and running, Bonk will compliment his on-site art parties with in-studio events later this year.
“Chris is Bottle & Bottega’s first multi-unit operator, and we couldn’t think of anyone more suitable to lead this charge for our brand,” said Nancy Bigley, the CEO and co-owner of Chicago-based Bottle & Bottega. “His passion for the company and the communities he serves has been exciting to witness, and we look forward to supporting Chris he as grows his business.”
Prior to his journey with Bottle & Bottega, Bonk spent more than 30 years as a commercial illustrator, animator and art director in Chicago's advertising industry. Bonk was inspired to join the Bottle & Bottega family in 2015 after discovering the business opportunity would allow him to run an art studio as his own boss and build meaningful relationships with his community.
